About Us
Yes! Publications is a community publishing group based in Derry. Founded in 1986 as a constituted community group YES! was born - by the Spring of 1986 we had launched our first title, Fingerpost Community Magazine onto the world. Fast forward twenty years and here we are… still producing Fingerpost, with a comprehensive list of books, magazines and pamphlets in our catalogue, and an ever increasing customer base.
Throughout the years we have published a wide range of books, pamphlets, newsletters & documents for our own ends and for other organisations, groups and businesses. Such organisations have included St John’s Primary School, Children in Crossfire, Western Health Action Zone, The Shared City Initiative, Holywell Consultancy, Football in The Community, Derry City Council, Chnoc Na Ros and many more.
We believe that validating the lives and experiences of people in this area is of vital importance and continually seek to engage with our community. People are challenged by the need to express their own experiences and the learning that comes out of that. This is particularly true in a community coming out of protracted conflict. Since our early days Yes! Publications has provided that at a local level but we understand that this also has wider regional, national and international significance.
